No, not at all--I find info about Elvish names quite interesting. There's a whole heap of info about Elvish names in The Unfinished Tales which is very fascinating. Apparently all Elves have a Mother-name and a Father-name (ones given by their parents, probably in the same manner we get our first name and last name), then throughout their life they gather other names (like nick-names only the non-shortened kind) from others who know them or know of their deeds or such. Quite interesting, if you ask me.

That is interesting! And Nen, you certainly didn't bore me! It all fascinates me! It always really bugs me to hear Greenleaf used like that too, but since it was so common, I just wanted to make sure that I did have it right. So many people say Legolas Greenleaf, and it drives me crazy!

I also find these things very interesting!! I could keep reading things like that forever!! You didn't bore me, Nen!! In Brazil, they call him "Legolas Verdefolha", which means be Greenleaf, and it has bothered me for a while too.

Yes yes yes!! Some other people who agree with me that Greenleaf is not his surname! It's really annoys me when people say it is.
