Fellowship of the Ring
In FotR, we hear Gandalf singing the first part of the song The Road Goes Ever On, which is also in the books.
The road goes ever on and on
down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the road must go,
and I must follow if I can.
The next song we hear is the drinking song the hobbits sing at The Green Dragon pub, and Pippin sings the last line. The lyrics were mainly taken from different lines of three songs found in the book. The song as sung in the movie:
Hey, ho, to the bottle I go
to heal my heart and drown my woe!
Rain may fall, and wind may blow,
but there still be many miles to go.
Sweet is the sound of the pouring rain
and the stream that falls from hill to plain!
But better than rain or rippling brook
Is a mug of beer inside this Took!
