Yeah I watched it twice in one week, Monday and Friday. Now I can't wait until the EE comes out too to see the Houses of Healing and Eomer grieving and everything I saw in the trailer that wasn't in the movie. Jack, you're so hilarious (offering rum all the time). Whenever I see , I think of you now

If it was even a possibility that they could make the Sil into a film, they'd have to do it in parts like LOTR-- it's just waaay too big and has waaay too many characters. I'd personally like to see them do the story of Beren and Luthien, as well as the story of Numenor. I'd think the Tale of the Children of Hurin would make an awesome plot, but too depressing.

The thing is, the Sil isn't movie material. It's too vague in most parts and it doesn't get into the personalities of the characters as much as it does the storyline itself. It's kinda like the bible methinks.

Ah hah! So I'm not the only one who thinks the Sil reads a bit like the Great Book itself!

It's kinda like the bible methinks. Yeah, I think so too. If they made Sil into a movie I would (using major self-control that I don't think I have) refuse to see it. I'm starting to feel like a purist from reading everyone else's opinions of RotK, so I'll just say that I'm having slightly different withdrawl symptems than the rest of you .

Five hours.....I can't wait! I'll probably have to use alot of restraint to not watch it as soon as I get it - it's a tradition now to go over to my uncles house and watch it on his gigantic home theater..

5 HOURS!!!!!! Radagast, you're right. YAHOO!!!!!!! About Sil as a movie...maybe they don't want to give up the rights to PJ because it's like the ultimate history and they don't want it to get messed up. Not that the movies messed up lotr, but they changed alot of stuff.
