Hopefully that won't come to pass! But I do hope that Peter Jackson doesn't rush the EE just to get it finished before he starts King Kong. I'd almost rather the two year wait than a hasty cut. To quote a very wise Ent: "Don't be hasty!"

I think it may be unfounded... Peter Jackson stated that he was now in the process of editing the EE, so that means he isn't waiting until after King Kong.  |
