(((Remember everyone is free to RP in this pub - come post! ) "Anyone for another tankard?" she called over the rumble of talking, turning to the beer tap as a few people came over.

the Ancient ranger staggered down the stairs and almost tripped at the bottom of them then steadied himself and announced loudly "I have Lost a Polearm has anyone seen it? I had it before I went to bed"

"That great big glaive, was it? I think Eowa put it behind the counter for safekeeping..." She fumbled under the counter, slicing her finger on the blade of the thing. She winced and handed it to the ranger before wrapping a handkerchief firmly around her hand. She grinned. "You remain watchful even here, master ranger. That blade was sharp." #noedit

Morowyn gave the newcomer a nod. "Come into the warmth, elf. What is your name, and what may the inn do to satisfy your needs?" ((OOC: I won't be posting again probably until 27th/28th, so Morowyn won't be replying to your reply soon.)

Thora appreoached the ranger and glanced at the weapon. "It is indeed a very neat blade. Nor every time do I see one like those." "Oh, I feel like taking some ale now!" She said to Morowyn. ((OOC: Okies, just felt like reviving this again. ))

The jovial old man, who seemed rather wizardlike, grinned at the old ranger. He had a plate of eggs and sausage on the counter before him. Although silent till now, he responded to the old ranger's question. "Never too late for breakfast...if you make it yourself. But here, have some of mine, to save you the effort." He picked up a fork and spare plate and piled a huge amount of food onto it. More than anyone would have thought was on the old man's plate in the first place, and yet his own serving seemed not to have diminished at all. He looked around the inn. "Anyone else like a healthy way to start your day?"

"I never turn down a pipe. And perhaps you could tell me a bit of yourself, and your ancestry. I saw your weapon. A fine one. I should like to know its story..."

Like most of my kin I am known by more than one name but the name most use is Grey Glaive this weapon is old ancient long before I was born it was forged in times long passed for the war of the last alliance and it has served the eldest living member of my family ever since though truth told it currently also serves the youngest as I have no kin remaining the last of my kinsmen died in the battle outside Gondor. So draw your pipe and sit back and I will tell you a tale such as will never be told again after me of battles in the wild and the slaying of fell beasts but first I think I shall tell you a riddle for the riddle is the key to the tale
Born of earth Shown to air kissed by flame embraced by water married to the greenwoods daughter bound with an elfs gift Surrendered to a mortals hand To do a service to the western land
