How would I make up different names for my RPG characters? What are the standards for names used by different races of Middle Earth?

yep there are naming conventions allowed for in the books For elvish names simply pick from the many elvish names and words in elvish language sites (ask mirkwood archer for these she speaks them) Dwarven names tend to be things like Balin thorin Dori and similar (think nordic) hobbit names are basically fairly simple bilbo frodo merry for girls flower names and a last name some examples Baggins proudfood Took and Brandybuck plus of course Thornbank(we are a large family and have really good christmas partys) Human names are culture specific Good luck  |
