Blackness. Lothar felt he was swimming down a black river with blackness around him. Waves were hitting him in the face-gradually getting harder. Suddenly he realized someone was slapping him in the face. He sat up suddenly and realized what was happening. He turned to the girl. "come. we should leave here before it gets any more dangerous. Are you coming?" He struggled to his feet unsteadily and nearly fell again.

Luck silver took back his coin and restored it to its place round his neck "Its my lucky coin"he said "its all my luck if I lost it I would be cursed"
he smiled at her "thanks I owe you a debt"
A scared pirate threw a chair at him he caught it with one hand and smashed it onto the mans head
A rolled up piece of paper fell out of the shattered chair and dropped neatly into lucky silvers hand "see I told you Its my luck"

Sam watched in interest as the girl gave the tall man the shiny coin. Shiny things always atracted Sam....
He was paying so much atention to them that he didn't see the burly sailor swing his fist.
It caught him in the mouth. Enraged Sam started another fight, with the sailor and a few of his friends.

Rather than shaking hands he instead kissed her hand in a very courtly way "They call me lucky silver my lady"he said then unrolled the piece of paper deftly "and this seems to be a piece of a sea chart "
(OOC ok folks I hold in my hand the middle third of a treasure map somewhere in here are the other two thirds we need them found by different people its important to the whole pirate tradition thing its a treasure map to an old numenorian island outpost full of gold and treasures ARRRRR pieces of eight)

The man fell down again.

The man pulled her skirt to get up.

Sapphire looked at the piece of paper in awe, then pulled something out of her pocket. 'So that is another piece to this...' she said, holding out a piece of a sea chart that appeared to go with his.

Lothar stood up swaying a little. "Lothar Eaglewing at your service, miss. I'm feeling a little better. Come on." Lothar and Bunny left through a small side door to an alley way. Not far away they could hear the sea breaking on the beach. Lothar turned to her. "Uhhhh....there might be soldiers around as I'm sure someone would report that little outbreak. Maybe we should wait in this alley for a while." He sat on a low barrel. "So...you don't look like a native of Umbar. What brings you here? I wouldn't think a town such as this would be the first choice of towns for a maiden like yourself to want to visit." He looked at her, waiting for her answer.

Sam stood in the center of the room, men sprawled around him. A shiny glint caught his attention; "Treasure!" was his first thought. He had to remind himself that he was not looking for treasure. He reached down anyway. It was a piece of parchment rapped and tied with a silver ribbon.
(ha! I have found it!!)

Slowly Sam pulled the silver bow of the roll of parchiment and put it in his pocket. Then he unrolled the documet carefuly.
A treasure map!
Finnally, after all. But wait, a piece was missing, no two pieses were missing. Sam sighed in annoyance!

He happened to glance over at the two near the bar. Heeyyyy... that looked like! It was! The parts of the map thingy.
Sam walked right over. "Seems you have found my/b]lost map pieces," he said smiling. He hoped they had no real claims on them. He held his breath as they looked over at him.
