Ok, here's the deal; us Mods here in the Language forum are here to help y'all learn Elvish, but we figured it would be neat if you could see who else was learning and then "hook up" through e-mail or PMs to study and help each other along. So, if you want to be a Sindarin (or Quenya) study-buddy, post your skill level, the language you prefer, and whether you wish to be networked with someone of a similar skill level, a lower skill level, or a higher skill level, and what medium of contact you prefer. For example: Jane Doe Sindarin Beginner I want to study with someone of a higher skill level I prefer e-mail or PMs ~ Please don't put your addies or ID's here as anyone who is a "lurker" or passerby can see this forum (so it's not exactly the safest thing to put out in plain view) ; that info should be reserved for PMs. Have fun!

Name: Simbelmyne Language: Sindarin and Quenya Level: Absolute Beginner! I know some things, like hello, thankyou and goodbye but not much more. I'd like someone more advanced, please; someone who can explain things well and put up with my stupid questions. If anyone can also give me some charts with stuff like pluralisation (I'm getting the hang of it now!) that would help me learn You all know my email lol, and over PM is good for me too.

Lovely idea Linwen Sindarin still beginner (have done hardly anything to do with verbs yet) I don't really mind - similar skill level'd be great, but I'd be glad to try and help, as well - if I can...*shrugs*

Lothiêl Tinnueth Sindarin & Quenya Advanced, I suppose I'm willing to pair up with someone of a higher skill level so I can improve myself, but I'll also help people of a lower skill level. I prefer e-mail or MSN mssgr, but please PM me first!

Marieke Sindarin Absolute beginner (I don't know much more than "Suilad" ) I want to study with someone of a higher level, who can help me and explain thing to me. I prefer e-mail, but PM is fine with me as well.
This is a great idea! I wanted to learn Sindarin, but I didn't know where to start, and I think this will help me a lot!

Suilad! I'd love to be a study buddy to someone! I guess I'm fairly advanced in Sindarin, so I'd love to help a beginner, but there's still lots more for me to learn. Is someone going to pair us up, or are we just picking a study buddy?

You can either pick them by PMing them and working stuff out, or if you want to be "paired up," so to speak, let me or one of the other Mods know and we'll try to find you someone to study with.

Name: Brannwen language: Sindarin experience: kind of an advanced beginner. I know some stuff. I'd prefer my level or a little higher, but it doesn't matter too much. I'd prefer to communicate by PMs or MSN, but I'm flexible. Anything will work.

What a great idea!
*Chloe *Sindarin and/or Quenya *Beginner *I would like to work with someone who is at a higher skill level *I would prefer to keep in contact through PMs **NOTE** I probably won't be able to start learning elvish until June. AND CoE hasn't been working on my computer for about the last month for some reason so I wouldn't be able to use the elvish workbooks there

I'd really like to learn, but I'm afraid I don't have the time right now... I intend to tart in the holidays, though...So: - Háthawyn - Sindarin - Extremely beginner - I'd prefer someone more advanced than me, but that won't be hard to find. - For me, either e-mail, PM or MSN would be fine.
