This is the area to discuss the LOTR music on Meduseld - The Horns of Rohan. Arwen Evenstar and I mod it. I've been interested in the LOTR music since FOTR came out, and have been playing the French Horn for about three years, the Steel Pans for about two years and have taught myself piano. If you want some notes for any of the pieces on the soundtrack, or a bit of info on the instruments, PM me and I'll be happy to help. One note from me: Before looking for lyrics, check they have not been posted in the topped threads "Lyrics from the books" and "Lyrics from the movies". You are most welcome to add your own to the list You can also use a special tag in this forum: [ music]URL[/ music] (Without spaces). You may start a thread if you'd like to add a sound clip, please add (music clip) to your title and don't direct link without permission (clips from your own site might be best for this) I'll leave Arwen to introduce herself Once again, welcome!

I love music, and the music from LotR is some of my favorite. I play the guitar, and play around a bit on my tin whistle and recorder. I want to get better at the guitar, and then learn another instrument, I just haven't yet decided what. I'll be putting up the rest of the lyrics from both the books and the movies soon. If you have a request for the lyrics for a certain song, and I haven't yet posted it, let me know, and I'll see what I can do.

Can we just make this forum for music in general (not just LotR)?
I really love music, and I'd like to talk about it more... but I don't have any of the LotR soundtracks.....yet!

We'll be moving a couple of music threads over here within the next couple of days, and you can discuss any instrument, or any singer involved in LOTR, so...
And it's not just the LOTR movies music we'll be discussing. Have you seen any of the LOTR-inspired music out there? It's all over the net.

Just thought I'd add a bit to this When I referred to my tin whistle, it was one I had just found again that I had gotten several years ago, but never really played. Right after finding it, I stopped playing it because it was one I had gotten for a couple of dollars, so was rather cheaply made and not very good. I got a nice Irish tinwhistle yesterday though, and it's wonderful! I love it!
