Am I the only one who completely missed this? Apparently Annie Lennox sang an alternate song to play over the ROTK credits, called Use Well the Days. Sounds like it incorporates different poems and bits of dialogue from LOTR. Here are the lyrics: Round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though I have passed them by, A day will come, I will take the hidden paths that run west of the Moon, And east of the Sun. I am glad that you are here with me, Here at the end of all things. Night too shall be beautiful, and blessed and its fear will pass. I must leave, must cross this Sea, the love you gave is all I take with me. Use well the days, use well the days. Turn your face to the green world, Use well the days. Seven stars, and seven stones, and one White Tree From o'er the Sundered Seas Use well the days, use well the days. Turn your face to the green world, Use well the days. You can hear it by going here: lotrscrapbook.bookloaf.net/ref/index.htmland clicking on "Use Well the Days" to the left. It's beautiful!

Wow, cool! I didn't know that either!! I still like Into the West better, but this one is good too. I'm listening to it now. She's such a good singer.

OMG!!! How did I miss this thread? ! ? Wow... I must say, it's an awesome song (but I still like 'Into the West' better ). I think they should have included it as an "extra" or something... hey... maybe they'll put it on the Extended Vers. of ROTK? Awesome song, and Annie Lennox is a phenomenal singer.

I agree... I like Into the West better as well. It's just so nice to hear so much of Tolkien almost word for word being sung.

Use Well the Days is definitely a grower. It's become one of my favourites in a matter of days. I have the sheet music too, so I'm playing and singing at the same time lol
