Oh, so many favorite scenes...well here are some of my top favorite tho:
~when Gandalf, Gimli, Aragorn, and Legolas find Merry and Pippin at Isengard.
~when Pippin looks at the palantir and then the scene with Merry and Pippin right before Gandalf and Pip go to Minas Tirith.
~The attack of Osgiliath, then during the retreat when Gandalf comes up and sends the Nazgul away.
~When the beacons are lit
~when Arwen sees the vision of her son, Eldarion.
~when Arwen goes back to Rivendell
~when Elrond gives Aragorn Anduril.
~when pippin sings
~when Aragorn, Gimli, and Legolas go through the Paths of the Dead.
~When Merry and Eowyn go to Pelennor Fields
~when Eowyn kills the Witch-King.
~the diversion in front of the Black Gates
~Sam asking Frodo if he can remember the taste of strawberries, and then carrying Frodo
~the Eagles fighting the nazgul
~when frodo says "I'm glad you're with me, Samwise Gamgee, here, at the end of all things."
~when the Eagles rescue sam and frodo
~frodo wakes up in Minas Tirith and the fellowship come in.
~the crowning of aragorn, and his song
~when Arwen comes.
~everyone bowing to the hobbits.
~the hobbits going home
~gandalf and frodo leaving to the West.
~and of course, "The End"

emm... my VERY subjective opinion... do not hit this subject who is writing right now -->    <-- so, what can I say - Elijah just perfect. I know, I know, I'm silly (maybe ), but I just love him. <-- like that. so Merry&Pippin... sorr guys... u, khemm... let's go to next chars Sam. Sam, Sam, Sam, well, nothing good, nothing bad... nothing at all...  Aragorn, well, he was great, too. Vigo v.good at that role. Legolass... well... Orlando not my tipe , Saruman v.funny, Eowyn, Arwen, Galadriel... Eowyn, Arwen and Galadrial just perfect. jup, my opinion ;D hm, so - Sauron very impressing. heh, I liked that dude. Orcs stupid  emmm... and our 2.nd main char (after Frodo ) - da RIng... He played well ;D |

Too many smilies, lmao. I loved the Beacons part. The music, is awesome. I'm listening to it right now and, amusingly it reminds me a soundtrack for the Batman cartoon.  Heh. It was wonderful, with the mountains and all. My fave parts, I won't mention, as it would be, in a summary the whole movie.  It was amazingly beautiful. And worth watching the pre-opening (or something?) I went to the marathon of the three movies, the first two with EE and when I saw RotK at about 12 a.m., just, breathtaking.  I want to see it again. Mmmm, maybe I should download it from Kazaa or buy the DVD. |

well, maybe a bit silly this post, but I have to say, that I just can't imagine else Eowyn/Arwen!!!! they are so.... THEY!!!! Eowyn looks just like a human, a mortal woman. She just can't be anything else but a proud mortal woman, and Arwen - she is as elfic  , well, okay, as elfic as an elf can be. And Arwen HAS to be Liva Tyler, now there is, well, just no other way.,.. in my opinion...  well, maybe it's silly, but I thought about it when I looked on one picture - Aragorn and Arwen one side, Eowyn - other. and I just can't get it out now |

O, RotK was the best! Now I can look at the trilogy as one large movie quite easily! Er, as to favorite bits: -The opening sequence with the transformation of Smeagol to Gollum via the Ring (so well done- it's very very eerie. Poor Smeagol!  ) -The whole cast's performance in general- especially the nice hobbitses! -Lighting of the beacons (My friends made fun of the thought of those men staying up in the mountains, waiting for someone to light the beacons... I couldn't get them to understand the importance of it all! ) -Pippin's song  (That song's actually in the book, as a hobbit walking song! Pippin, Frodo, and Sam sing it on their way to Crickhollow. I thought it was wonderful how they incorperated more things like that.) -Arwen's vision of what could be (I thought the little boy looked exactly like a mix between Viggo Mortensen and Liv Tyler) -Fight of the Witch King with Eowyn (Brave Merry!) -Mount Doom! -Anything with the hobbits, especially Frodo and Sam -Anything from Mount Doom on, as a matter of fact. -Into the West (again, wonderful song) But now the sad thing is, it's over! But there's still the Extended Version! It's not gone yet!  |

ALL of the Merry & Pippin scenes, I adore those guys!(or halfings!)  Eowyn, my word, I love her too. I can see a bit of myself in her, people tell me all the time "You're too short," "You're just a girl, you cannot help me," "You;re a freak!!!!!!!!!" (I get "freak" the most, and it hurts me ) But I hope I can show people Christ, and love them through that |

My fav scene was the whole thing of Rohan arriving at the Pellenor fields. The horns, the line up and the charge. It was so awesome the courage they had. The looks on the orcs faces were pricless. And Eomer's besides...I didn't know anyone had such big eyes

I loved it all but the best bits were:
all of Aragorn coronation( arwen appearing, bowing to the hobbits etc)
when legolas killed the mamakil (sp) and gimli sats " that stil only counts as one"
arwen's vision
when Aragorn turns up with the dead
when Gimli says" certainty of death, small chane of success what are we waiting for?"
Also i like the bit in mount doom, in the cinema i was shouting at the screen because i thought Frodo had died!

Arwen - Frodo and Bilbo die eventually even in Valinor, I'm afraid. Unless there was a direct intervention from Eru, essentially the creator of Middle-earth (as in the case of Arwen), mortals remained mortal and would die eventually, and immortals stayed immortal There's a small piece on this at: tolkien.cro.net/hobbits/frododie.html |
