Outside of the Black Gate, they all arrive on horses - next thing, the horses have disappeared. But everyone knows that one ;D
Oh, and in Shelob's Lair - when the camera's close up to Sam and Frodo, Frodo has his eyes open, but when the camera shows them froma distance, Frodo's eyes are closed - that's just a lil itty bitty one for you ;D

You can see that the grass near the White Tree in Minas Tirith is freshly laid turf.... the joins are visible!

This is in TTT, but it's so funny I had to mention it. I'm sure most of you guys have seen this, but after Eomer meets with Aragorn, Legolas, and Gimli, and says, " Do not trust to hope..." and then rides away, his sword falls out of his scabbard. Every time I watched it, I thought... "that's strange, it looks like his sword falls out." But I never really thought it did. I then slowed it down and there it was, plain as day!

There's just one thing that bothers me (well, not that much, but my father once mentioned it, and now I can't ignore it anymore). When the Rohirrim are charging at the Pelennor Field, the Orcs start shooting arrows at them, and several Rohirrim get shot. But they had shields. And I am always wondering WHY DO THEY BRING SHIELDS IF THEY DON'T USE THEM ?

On the same line as Marieke, Faramir's lieutenant (I think he's called Madril) and Faramir aren't wearing any kind of helm. Later, you see that Madril has a large head graze. I mean, how stupid is it not to wear a helm or something to protect your head? Oh well...

When Gandalf is talking to Pippin about "The End" At first his sword is all shiny and white, but then it's black, I guess covered with orc blood, and then it's whitish-silver. I guess it could just be the light, but they should keep the light the same for the same scene.
And with that one scene with Arwen and Elrond, Arwen is holding a book, and you can see that its on a page with a bunch of words on it, but then you get a closer look at the book, right before she drops it, and its on a page with a picture of a gate that looks a lot like the gates into the Mines of Moria.
A friend of mine said that Sams daughter's dress changes from shot to shot in the scene where Sam comes home to Rosie and his kids and they run out to greet him. I didn't notice it though, so I'm not sure.

I've always wondered about the scene when Eowyn gives Aaragorn the cup. Doesn't it seem like that's some way to propose and he accepted? I mean, no one else took the cup and drank the way he did, and then Theoden's said that line...what's the deal with that?

Hmmm... I believe that Eowyn also gives a cup to Aragorn in the book. Maybe PJ just wanted to add this as a subtle detail for the ones who have read the book.

Yes, it is. It's also in a painting by Alan Lee, I believe. I heard somewhere that PJ wanted to make sure that scene got in because he liked that moment so much from the painting (and the book, I suppose) .

Yeah, I remember the painting, but the thing that confused me is that with the dialouge with Theoden right afterwards. it seemed like a proposal...I just don't really understand it.

A flaw i found was that in the Paths of the Dead when Aragorn was talking to the King of the Dead he had his sword in his left hand and a torach in his right (i thought this was weird because he was always right handed) and then he turns round and the srowd and torch have swithced hands! and then when he fights the King the torch has gone! i notice lil things like that because i sit 2 close to the screena nd take everything in, especially when i rewind my fave scenes!

When things change hands, it's usually because they were going to flip the shot but didn't, so most of those are already explained I guess...
