Wow! I really hope they make it especially if it's gonna have the same actors, I really hate it in films where they get other actors to take their place, it really annoys me. As soon as I heard Lotr was coming out on screen my immediate reaction was: 1. Horray, Yay, Wahoo ect. 2. What about the hobbit ? It'll be great if they make it

My mum told me and Eloise this about 1/2 a week or a week ago and it will hopefully look better then the vid game of the hobbit if they do it.

Urgh! Yeah I saw that, very disturbing projection of Bilbo! He looked like a ginger leming!

Whoops wrong section again! Sorry Simbelmyne. Yes it would be great if they would be able to bring some of the LOTR actors into the production. It will be sad though to see someone other than Ian Holm as Bilbo, though I guess that it's necessary. Hopefully he would look a bit like a young Holm.

I think he might could do it. I didn't think so at first, but after thinking about it, it mightwork. Bilbo didn't age when he had the ring, so he should have looked the same when he got it as he did at the beginning of FotR. I don't know how different Ian Holm looks now though than he did when they filmed the movies. If he still looks pretty much the same, he could probably do it.

Yes, I head that too! He thought he was getting himself into too much, he thought he was too old for this sort of thing. Someone asked him if it was worth it or something and he said like "Well, I'm only commiting for *so many*(I forgot exactly how many) years because I'm too l'm to be doing this, but I think it was probably worth it.", or something like that. I think he should probably just do one more movie, it wouldn't be the same without him!!! (By the way, I think it's spelled Ian McKellen, Jack.) Also, Iam Holm would be able to do The Hobbit because, remember, in FotR, "...the most unlikely of creatures: a hobbit.", and they show Bilbo picking up the the Ring; "Oh! A ring!". Whoa, that's one big run-on sentence...

Really? Well, that's a relief!!! Thanks for letting us know! Ahhh, but he doesn't think Ian Holm should be in it...interesting.

I would love sooooooooo much for Peter Jackson to make 'The Hobbit', it would be fantastic! But I read in the October 2003 copy of 'Empire' magazine: "McKellen is also leading calls for Peter Jackson to be involved in a big-screen version of 'The Hobbit'." -...- "Jackson is currently denying any interest in adapting 'The Hobbit'." Luckily this still sounds to be fairly inconclusive and we can only hope that Jackson changes his mind.

I'd be very disppointed if both Ian McKellen & Ian Holm won't play in it... There is not better Bilbo... let alone Gandalf! Ian McKellen is an amazing actor and The Hobbit won't be the same without him...

I agree, the role of Gandalf would be hard to see any actor other than Ian in; though you have to admit, if they were really, really good, and we put our prejudices aside, who knows that we might be quite surprised and delighted?
