Galadriel's epilogue transcript?

This was posted over at theonering.com... I think I've seen it before, when it was said to be the the last pages of the theatrical version script.

Well, I’m back.

PULL BACK: Sam, Rosie and Elanor slowly walk back inside BAG END. Hobbit Children play in nearby fields as the setting sun sets in the western sky ablaze with deep purple hues. The FADING LIGHT casts soft shadows in the idyllic, green land of the SHIRE.

GALADRIEL V/O
Thus ended the Third Age of Middle Earth.

IMAGE: Still pulling back from the Shire we see a dreamy, ghostly image of an ancient Sam, Merry and Pippin in the GREEN DRAGON. Merry and Pippin are SINGING loudly. Sam is smiling.

History became legend… Legend became myth, and some things that should not have been forgotten… Were lost.

Even if it isn't the real thing, it's amazing!

edit... ah, looks like it was just an April Fool's joke over at theonering.com from last year.   Ah well, I still think it's great!

It would have been good. Hope is eternal, and friendship withstands even the darkest days. I like that.

But I think that Sam's "I'm home" was a better ending. It's fine the way it is.

AWWWWW!!!!!!  That would've been GREAT!!! This part nearly made me cry!

As I read it I almost hoped that it was not real. It would have been so sad
I almost started crying when I read it

That would have been brilliant in the movies, I was hoping that they would tie up all the endings. It seemed like a cliff hanger! (But then again all boooks and films are as there is always what happen's next ...)
