Translated into English, very very spoilerish, as it contains detailed descriptions of each scene. www.badtaste.it/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=497The reviewer doesn't think very highly of the EE, but it is still a great read, if just for the info it has on the extra scenes. It sounds like Eowyn will be given Faramir's dialogue about her dreaming of a wave. It should be a fantastic scene.

Ok, now I didn't read the review, but this seemed like an OK thread to hijack. I saw ROTK EE last night, and it was freakin' awesome!!! Hehehe, and I know now where they stuck Arwen's song.

Well, they stuck it in the Houses of Healing section, and it was beautifully done. What else would you like to know?

I'm now working on my parents because I know it's arrived (I hope they're not going to keep it from me...). I need inspiration and SCREENCAPS (but I'll do those when I get it).
What's the É/F stuff like? Oh, and WEDDINGS. Anything new? Do tell.
Thanks!

No new weddings... actually, the last scene extension is on Mount Doom. (a sort of mini review ) The Houses of Healing sequence was nice... kind of short. Actually, I think there is only one or two extra lines that weren't shown in the trailer. But there is a scene before that directly after she is healed where no words are spoken, but Eowyn/Faramir just sort of share a look. As for just Eowyn, I think her character and Denethor's really improve the most this time around. Eowyn describing her dream of the oncoming wave and the abyss before her feet was incredible. I'm glad they moved this from Faramir to her... the lines wouldn't sit right with film Faramir I think, but work perfectly for film Eowyn. The Voice of Saruman was great... I loved hearing Theoden saying that he will have peace when Saruman hangs from a gibbet and Saruman insulting the house of Rohan. It's one of my favorite passages from the BBC adaptation, "What is the house of Eorl but a thatched barn..." And it is almost word for word in the EE. It was strangely satisfying to see Saruman fall onto the Spikey Wheel of Death, after so much controversy over the image that leaked almost 4 years ago I think. A lot of people are saying that it is unnecessarily gruesome. But Saruman's death was actually less gruesome than in the book. If you think about it, being stabbed in the back and falling on the wheel in a wide shot is a lot less graphic than Grima slitting Saruman's throat. Hated, hated the Mouth of Sauron. It was great right up till the end, until Aragorn lops off his head. The MOS was an unarmed ambassador, and Aragorn had no justification for killing him. And Gimli's comical "I guess that concludes negotiations" just drives home the point of how flippantly Aragorn murdering the MOS is portrayed. I'm not sure what Peter Jackson was thinking here. But for every 1 thing I didn't like, there were 20 that I loved. Overall, the EE is a wonderful experience, and a fitting end to the LOTR film journey.

Gah...no weddings. They were both filmed (I believe)! How stupid.
Who says we petition PJ to make a DVD of everything they filmed?
Sounds interesting. Voice of Saruman sounds interesting - Mouth of Sauron sounds stupid. You're right, it's like they put it in as a joke.
The wheel of death isn't the best, but I suppose it's OK. I guess it's like in the book - he was impaled upon his own sword and his own deeds.

I was actually glad when Aragorn cut off the MOS head....He was so ugly he was just asking to have his head cut off...>_< I'm sad that Faramir and Eowyn didn't kiss....I mean, if they could have Aragorn and Arwen pashing on (tongue and all I must add) they could have at least had a small peck between Faramir and Eowyn...oh well....at least they have them holding hands...
