Galadwen was very shocked. This was great news! She would soon be an Aunt! " Does Ada know this? Lenniel? Am I the first to know?" "I would be honored to help arrange this celebration!" Turning to look at Galadeth, she ran over and gave her a huge hug.

Galadeth laughed as she hugged Galadwen. "Thank you, Galadwen... yes, you are the first to know about it..." Legolas smiled and said: "No, our Ada does not know about this yet, he is going to receive the news on the party, that is why I need to you do it now." #noedit

Ithilwen was getting impatient. What is taking that Guard so long? she thought to herself, frowning. She glanced sidelong at the other Guard. He looked bored. Ithilwen shifted her feet, then quickly made up her mind.
"Elo, Guard of Thranduil's Halls; the message I carry is of utmost importance and must be delivered to either Legolas or Thranduil himself. I fear the other Guard sent to notify the King or the Prince has gone astray; pray let me go and find the King myself!"
The Guard looked warily around. "I'm sorry, Rider Ithilwen, but you must wait until the King shall recieve you."
Ithilwen fumed.

Galadeth heard two Elves talking below by the balcony. She went look who were.
She saw an Elven Lady trying to pass. She said from there:
"Hello, Lady. What happen? Do you need to talk to Legolas? He is here, he is talking with me and her sister Galadwen, I am Galadeth Greenleaf, Wife of Legolas and Lady of Mirkwood. Do you need to pass?"#noedit

Ithilwen looked up sharply, her quick elven eyes discerning the shape of a Lady looking down from an upper balcony.
"Ai, na vedui! (Oh, at last!) Lady Galadeth," and Ithilwen bowed stiffly, much like one of the Númenorean Rangers and not like a Lady of Imladris. "I am Rider Ithilwen from Imladris--Lord Elrond sends me with urgent news for a member of the Royal family, either King Thranduil or Prince Legolas." She grabbed the leather message-carrier and waved it in the air for Lady Galadeth to see. "It is a matter of the utmost importance and demands their attention for it concerns the realm of Thranduil! Let me pass so I may fulfill my duty."

((ooc: let me know if you dont like this, and i'll change it:D or delete it))
Meanwhile, riding towards Mirkwood, was a Ranger. She rode upon a white stallion, seated in-front of her was a limp figure. The figure had an arrow sticking from his chest, yet it had not killed him. The ranger, who's name was Arláthwén, had to get him to a healing post, for she couldn't heal him without doing further damage; Mirkwood being the nearest place she could think of.
Earlier that day, the company had been ambushed by a few orcs; most had been slain, yet one had fled and called for more Orcs. They came in a number of 20, the company was out numbered greatly. An arrow had pierced the young rangers left shoulder, yet it had still not gone deep enough to kill him.
"Hold on, Galghir. We are coming towards Mirkwood now!" she said softly to the figures ear; obviously his name being Galghir. Soon she was in Mirkwood, but she did not know where to go. So she rode towards Thranduil's Hall. There she saw an elfess talking with a Lady standing upon a balcony.
"Greetings!" she called. "Please! My friend is hurt! He needs help!" A groan came from Galghir. Arláthwén stood there waiting for a reply....

Taurhir and Linniel talked for several minutes of what had happened since their last meeting. As they talked, the walked together under the dark trees. They soon found themselves close by the hall of Prince Legolas.

Ithilwen turned sharply at the Ranger's call, momentarily startling Súlvor. Ithilwen immediately recognized Arláthwén as one of the Rangers who stayed near Imladris; she had seen her from time to time around the borders.
Ithilwen impulsively thrust Súlvor's reins at the remaining guard and stepped quickly over to the Ranger, helping to support the injured man as they made their way toward the gates.
Ithilwen waited for Lady Galadeth's reply.

Ithilwen bowed stiffly once again, slightly hampered by the weight of the injured man she was supporting. Her intense, grey-green eyes met Lady Galadeth's and she spoke:
"Le hannon a mae govannen Hiril Arth nín*, but I believe this Ranger and her friend need assistance..."

Arláthwén bowed her head slightly to Lady Galadeth and Ithilwen. She smiled painfully and dismounted her horse, supporting the limp figure that Ithilwen held.
"I fear it is too late," she said. "He is still so young and does not deserve to die...the arrow has gone too deep for me to pull out, without piercing anything else..."
Arláthwén looked at the elves around her. When her eyes fell upon Ithilwen, she recognized her somewhat from when she wandered near Imladris. She smiled at Ithilwen and turned to Lady Galadeth. A pleading look overcame Arláthwén's face whilst she waited for a reply.

Galadwen was so excited about the upcoming party, but then the whole world fell apart. A messenger from Imladris had come with an important message for her Tor and Ada. The party was going to have to wait.
Galadwen rushed to the balcony to see the messenger and a ranger which seemed to have an injured young man also.
She rushed down the stairs to meet the party, and to maybe help those in need. That young rider looked awefully familiar.

Galadeth looked at the young ranger that was injured.
"Ai, Elbereth Gilthoniel... that wound is a terrible one, we must help him first."
Galadeth walked to Arláthwén.
"I will help him... he needs to rest." Galadeth said.
"...Cealthion, please, we need you. Help Arláthwén, take her and the young ranger to the Healing Chambers, I will see you there, I am going to need some Athelas leaves... if you see Dordhaerion is your way there, tell him to come to the Gardens, I need him too. Ithilwen, come on, there is no time to waste..." Galadeth said.

Ithilwen nodded and deftly shifted the injured man to the Guard, so he could help Arláthwén carry him quickly to the Healing chambers.
That done, she turned to Lady Galadeth, and spoke, standing stiffly at attention: "Le aphadathon, Hirilen Galadeth.* I have been charged into your service by my Lord until I am due to return to Imladris, and I will do your bidding. How may I help?"
Ithilwen noticed the second Elf-lady out of the corner of her eye and made note of it in her mind. I have seen that Lady somewhere before... she thought to herself.
(*I will follow you, my Lady Galadeth)

"Follow me, we need to get some Athelas tea first, do you know them, right?" Asked Lady Galadeth to Ithilwen.
At that moment, Legolas came down to the Hall. He saw Galadeth going to the Gardens and asked her what happened.
"A young rider that came with these two ladies from Rivendell is seriously injured, and he needs our help... Cealthion is helping Arláthwén take him to the Healing Chambers..." Said Galadeth to Legolas.
"I will go there now... maybe they need my help too..." Legolas said.
"I will see you there, Legolas. I am going with Ithilwen to the Gardens. There is no time to waste, if we don not hurry, the young rider can die..." Galadeth said, turned to Ithilwen, and went to the Gardens.
"Wounded? I do not like this... I wonder what happened in their way here..." Legolas thought and started walking to the Healing Chambers.#noedit

Ithilwen nodded silently in understanding, and continued to follow Lady Galadeth into the Gardens where they proceeded to harvest the leaves of the athelas plant.
