OK, we've had one person leave our site, who happens to be in a load of RPs. So, I've had a think, and I think we should work out a policy for people who've left the site and haven't rounded up their character's part. Any ideas? We could (just some ideas):
1. Make them leave, with someone writing a piece that will make them turn back in some way. 2. Wound them and send them back with a healer.
I don't think people would want their char killed, so no suggestions about that. Do you think this is a good idea? If not, I'll drop it. It will just be frustrating for the RPers if major characters are hanging around but not doing anything.

I think it's a good idea for them to be safely returned home.

I was actually wondering about this a few hours ago. I think having them return is good.

In dungeons and Dragons we either killed them off often gruesoely or had them run off into the woods from the next monster screaming

I remember someone telling me that they had a messenger sent to that person, that they were needed back home, and that's how they left.

I think it depends on the story really. For example, in corsairs of the coast, there's not really a way for a charector to return home until the next time the ship comes into port so some other way of writing the charector out might be needed. Otherwise, I think sending them home's the best way. Meredith, the gruesome killing sounds like fun, but i'm not sure it would fit in with the site's rating

OK, that's fairly simple then. If someone can be returned home, then the RP leader or the person closest to that char can write to return them home Sound OK?

I would like some killing *cough* in Corsairs of the Coast there is always the option of falling over bourd and geting eaten by sharks but I have been vetoed so I will be quiet now.

seems fair that they get written out but if you leave by choice you should be allowed to pick how you leave, if you wanna die, go home........
