Swords Okies, this week we will be making our weaponry. We will collect information on weapons of the races of Middle-Earth, so, we are going to put a pic of the weapon we have selected and give a brief explanation of its name, origin and owner. I will start with Andúril, the Aragorn's Sword. Andúril signifies "Shine of the West". It was the Aragorn II's Sword, wrought with the fragments of Narsil by Elven Blacksmiths in Rivendell on 3018 of the Third Age. It had a drawing of Seven Stars, <for Elendil> between a Crescent Moon <for Isildur> and a Shining Sun, <for Anárion>, and the same number of runes. Due to its inheritance, its payee and its great radiance, Andúril became quickly on a famous weapon. In Oestron called Flame of the West. It was also known as the Broken Sword and the Wrought Again Sword. ((I am not sure if the pic is all right, I just found that...))

[glow=white,2,500]Glamdring [/glow] Glamdring signifies "Hammer for the Enemies". It was the Gandalf's Sword. Made originally by the Elves of Gondolin for the Wars of Beleriand, Glamdring was carried by Turgon. After the Fall of Gondolin, with time it ended up being part of a treasure of the Trolls, where Gandalf found it on 2941 of the Third Age. Since that moment and until the end of the War of the Ring, Glamdring was the Gandalf's Sword. It is not said if he carried it when he crossed the Sea to Eldamar. Glamdring shone with a Blue Light in presence of Orcs. It was sister of Orcrist. Called "Devastating" by the Orcs.
