Simbelmyne smiled. "I have seen little of this country for many years. Lead the way, Galadeth."

"It will be a pleasure... you can go by my side." They rode by the fields. Galadeth was thinking about her Ada, and asked Simbelmynë: "Can you remember your Father, Simbelmynë?"

"I'm the daughter of Lady Undomiel's daughter. She took her mother's name: Lady Evenstar. I don't remember them well - they died days after I was born. I thought my father was Rohirric - so did all, but he had elvish blood in him. That's why I'm half-elven - my father. I was brought up in Rivendell - my earliest memories are there. I never felt their loss, just lived my life as a Rider."

Leodwyn watched as Simbelmyne and Galadeth rode off into the distance. It was growing late now and she did not want to go far. 'We will ride for a short distance before making camp. We need to get an early start in the morning.' Leodwyn knew they must hurry to Gondor, but not at the cost of the company.
((OOC- sorry about that, vacation.))

Galadeth looked at Simbelmynë.
"I remember my Ada telling me tales about Elves on the starry nights in Lothlórien, when we were in our Mallorn, and hearing the Elves sing. My uncles Orophin and Rúmil always brought us fruits, Lembas and Wine... I wonder what are they going to do when I give them this horrible news..."

Galadeth looked at Simbelmynë.
"My Ada will be very worried about this War news... I wonder what are they going to do... will they help us?"

Leodwyn looked over her shoulder as she rode. It had been a long journey and they were still days away from the Godorian border. 'We ride at dawn. You, take the first watch.' She said as they settled in for the night. She felt like they were being followed but there still was no sign of anyone else nearby.

"I hope the elves will help us. They have been at peace since Sauron's fall, but I hope they will renew the old alliances."
(((OOC: Galadeth, can we skip to Lothlorien sometime soon? Then a bit after that, skip to Rivendell? Just to keep things moving)))

(((OOC: OK, jumping now)))
Two days later, they reached the borders of Lorien. Taking a horn from her saddlebag, she blew into it a single long note. When she stopped, ten seconds later, she called. "We are friends of elves! I am Simbelmyne, Rider of Rohan. You knew me once, long ago. My companion is Galadeth, the daughter of Haldir. We wish to speak with your Lord and Lady." She bowed gracefully. "May we have a rope bridge to get over the river?"

The rohirrim rode into the gates of Minas Tirith late on the fourth day. It had been a hard journey. Two days out they were attacked by winged creatures. Leodwyn still did not know what they were. It was a hard battle and they had lost a fourth of what they had left with. If only there was a way to tell the others who were coming...
