((LOL! I read the greeting one, and I thought you must've gotten it wrong, because I'd never seen anyone use it before!!!))
"Wow, Ivy, you know the elves' language? They're going to think we're so smart! Can you teach us?". Bramblerose was very anxious to be on they're way. "Can we go now, all this talking about the elves makes me want to see them!"

"I'd love to learn to talk like the Elves! Where did you learn that, Ivy?" said Ruby. "I can't wait 'til we get to see the Elves, either!"

Soon they heard the thump thump thump of an axe biting into wood just ahead a Hobbit in a brown tunic and breeches was standing outside his hobbit hole chopping wood with a battle axe this was something of an odd sight for a group of young hobbits especially as the axe seemed to he shouting "Die you Fiend I'll chop you to kindling" The name on the gate post read DunSlayin and underneath in neat letters Mister A Bingle Esquire

Daisy walked up to the gate, very curious about what the hobbit was doing. 'Hello! My name is Daisy. Is that your axe talking?' she boldly asked.

Bramblerose was equally surprised at the voice. "What is he doing, talking to the wood?", she giggled to Ruby.

Belle wondered how an axe could possibly talk, "I mean to say, where’s the mouth?" She asked the group. "You need a mouth to speak, it's a fact!? Perhaps there is a talking mouse, which has a mouth, underneath that wood and it's pretending to be the talking axe which has no mouth!" She wandered around to the wood and exclaimed, "There is no mouse!"

Daisy's eyes grew wide. 'It is the axe talking!!' she said in shock. 'Yes, we are going somewhere. We're off on an adventure! We're going to see cities bigger than Bree, and the elves!!'

"Yes, bigger than Bree, can you imagine that?!", Bramblerose exclaimed. And Ivy knows the elves' language!". But, where did you get that axe, and why are you called 'Slayer'?

"Yes and she might teach us!" Belle squeaked unable to contain her excitement. "Think of that, conversing with elves!" She turned her attention back to the old hobbit and the talking axe. "Er...Mr...Equaliser...sir?" She addressed the axe nervously, she had never spoken to an axe before and didn't know if they were friendly or not.

Ruby found the talking axe quite amusing, and was having a difficult time keeping down her giggles. But Belle's attempt to speak to the axe really got her, and she snorted as she exploded with laughter.

Ruby's laughter was contagious, and Belle talking to the axe did look rather funny, so Daisy was soon overtaken by a fit of giggles. She tried to stop laughing and talk to the old hobbit, but it was of no use.

Belle giggled and realised how silly she must have sounded. Soon she too was in fits of laughter and tears were running down her cheeks.

Ruby breathed deeply as she wiped away the wetness that had gathered in her eyes.
"Sorry, really, really, sorry," but it didn't last long and she found herself laying on the ground in side-splitting laughter.
